Topshop - £20

I also purchased a tartan scarf from Topman for £14 when we visited London on thursday :) My next post will be a lot more exciting as we are off to Hastings on Saturday, very excited!

London, again!

Myself and the boy decided to head off to London again as we live so close by :) we started off in Forbidden Planet where the boy bought me the Galadriel ring then went to our usual haunt, EAT. I got my usual tuna salad and the boy got a cheese and ham baguette and cheddar cheese crisps, yum.
Leicester Square was next on the list, and we ventured into the m&ms shop.... strange, it smelt extremely weird and we did not purchase anything, haha.

We ended the day, our usual style in Westfields, this time favouring Giraffe :) i got a feta, vegetable salad and the boy burger and chips.
No outfit pics i'm afraid.

London :)

Due to tube issues, we unfortunately didn't get to Catchphrase but we did still go to London and played the part of tourists very well :)
First off, was Buckingham Palace and St James's Park - to our surprise there were Pelicans in St James's Park, we'd never seen them up close before so it was pretty awesome. We then walked to Westminster, gazed up at the amazing Westminster Abbey (twas closed but there were so many tourists taking pictures etc), then came Trafalgar Square, the lion statues reminded me of the Outnumbered episode where Ben thinks they're Aslan haha!
We then ended up in Westfields Stratford where we got some delicious food from Chip + Fish (cod and chips for the boy and a chip butty for me), £2.75 for a chip butty, bargain!
By the end of the day, my feet were hurting so much, I definitely regretted wearing my heavy black brogue shoes.....

Winter Wishlist

Its been a while since I have done a wishlist, so here it is!

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

coat & dress - topshop
shoes - zara
necklace - accessorize.

This week has been fairly quiet; finishing my children's novel, typing up my historical fiction novel, entering poetry competitions, accompanying my boyfriend to the GTA V midnight launch... (twas epic fun haha).

We're off to good old London on Saturday to be in the Catchphrase audience, too excited!

Cats, cats everywhere

My week has consisted of entering poetry competitions, writing my novel, reading The Traitor's Wife by Susan Higginbotham and bumming around in charity shops with the boy. Some amazing stuff was picked up including this cat skirt (see pic below), it was found whilst rummaging through the skirt rail in my local RSPCA charity shop yesterday. The original tags were still attached so it probably hasn't even been worn, result.
I also found a cute fawn t-shirt in Age UK (H&M) for £1.49! :)

After traipsing around the city, we found our local Weatherspoons and got some food, sweet chili egg noodles for me and a bacon toastie & chips for the boy, yum.

skirt - river island via a charity shop (£3.99)
t-shirt - topshop (£16)
shoes - chicwish (£28)

What can I say? I love cats!

Colchester... again

And here we have it, another spur of the moment trip to Colchester! After spending most of the week writing my novel, watching Blackadder, window shopping and finishing Shadow on the Crown by Patricia Bracewell, a day out was on the menu :)

At £6 for a return ticket, you most definitely cannot go wrong. The boy loves the CEX shop as he is a serial retro game fiend and I love the cobbled streets and charity shops (sadly did not find any bargains).
The boy treated me to this beauty from Topshop (£35) and I would advise sizing up if you have a large chest, a size UK 6 fits like a glove on me but I lack in the chest department!

Piccys :)

dress - topshop via asos marketplace (£12)
cardigan - topshop (£42 - yikes!)
cat shoes - chicwish (£28)

Pub Outfit

Here is an outfit I wore to the pub on Saturday night with the boy :) I don't wear heels as a rule in public, many a time I have tripped over and embarrassed myself! Flats are comfortable, trendy and most of the time, do not lead to large blisters appearing.

dress - topshop via a charity shop (£6.49)
jacket - forever 21 (£21.99)
shoes - h&m (£7.99)
bag - tesco (present from the boy)

The jacket is a little something I picked up from Forever 21 about 2 years ago, the sailor detailing is absolutely lovely.
